Departure from Fira’s Old Port
Your adventure begins at the Old Port of Fira, where you’ll board a traditional boat equipped with everything you need for an exciting yet relaxing experience. As the boat sets sail, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the caldera, with its dramatic cliffs and the whitewashed houses.

Sailing to the Volcano
As you cruise across the crystal-clear waters, you’ll approach the active volcanic island of Nea Kameni, located in the heart of the caldera.
Upon arrival at Nea Kameni, you’ll disembark and begin a walk across the island’s volcanic terrain. The island’s rugged, black lava rock landscape offers an otherworldly feel as you walk in the footsteps of centuries of volcanic activity.
You will have approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to explore the craters, feel the heat from the volcanic vents, and take stunning photos of the dramatic surroundings.
