Departure from Fira’s Old Port
Your adventure begins at the Old Port of Fira, where you’ll board a traditional boat equipped with everything you need for an exciting yet relaxing experience. As the boat sets sail, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the caldera, with its dramatic cliffs and the whitewashed houses.
Sailing to the Volcano
As you cruise across the crystal-clear waters, you’ll approach the active volcanic island of Nea Kameni, located in the heart of the caldera.
Upon arrival at Nea Kameni, you'll disembark and begin a walk across the island's volcanic terrain. The island’s rugged, black lava rock landscape offers an otherworldly feel as you walk in the footsteps of centuries of volcanic activity.
You will have approximately one hour and fifteen minutes to explore the craters, feel the heat from the volcanic vents, and take stunning photos of the dramatic surroundings.
Stunning Views of the Caldera
As you walk, you’ll also be treated to breathtaking views of the caldera, the surrounding islands, and the Aegean Sea. The striking contrast between the dark volcanic rock and the vibrant blue waters below makes this one of the most photogenic spots in all of Santorini.
Return Journey
After exploring Nea Kameni, you’ll return to the boat for a relaxing ride back to the Old Port of Fira. During the journey, you’ll have a chance to reflect on your unique experience and take in even more of the island’s stunning views.

Awesome guide/driver! It was the best decision to book this tour and shown around the less crowded secret spots in Santorini, in the comfort of private vehicle with AC which made the experience a lot more enjoyable. We learned a lot about Santorini's history and took amazing pictures in blue domes. We definitely recommend this tour for everyone!! Thanks again!

Go during the summer or spring, unless you enjoy cold swims
The water was too cold for the snorkelling which was expected since we visited in the off season during winter, the hot spring was connected directly to the ocean instead of a geothermal pool like we were expecting, we should’ve looked up what kind of spring it was so that’s our mistake, much warmer than the sea, but still too cold for us. The tour and cruise was very scenic though and we really enjoyed the volcanic island visit. All in all we enjoyed it, just wish we visited when it was warmer.

Super friendly staff at the tour office. It was cheaper to book directly with them than the with the hotel or get your guide and much easier! Panos, the Captain was very friendly and the tour was great! I just wish we had more time swimming in the hot springs. Highly recommended.
